How To Install Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread on Google Nexus S

Google has announced that official Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OTA update is on its way. Whereas the Source Code and Proprietary Binaries of this update is already uloaded to AOSP and available for download. So if you can’t wait for an official update head to over to our manual update guide below.

Step 1: Download Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread (GRJ22-from-GRI40) .zip file to your computer.
Step 2: Now, connect your Nexus S to computer via USB cable.
Step 3: Copy the ROM file to the root of your micro-sd card.
Step 4: Now disconnect the Nexus S from computer and turn it off.
Step 5: Put your phone in recovery mode. To do so, hold the “Volume Up” button and “Power” button simultaneously for few seconds.
Step 6: Once your phone in recovery mode, select “apply update from /sdcard” from recovery options.
Step 7: Select the update file (GRJ22-from-GRI40……zip) and “Power” button to flash it.
Step 8: Sit back and relax it will automatically update your Nexus S to Android 2.3.4.
Once the flashing/installation of ROM is finish, your phone will restart automatically. You should now have Google Nexus S running on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread official update.
